Check center-to-center before a cabinet shop drills

The visible length of a pull sets the proportion, but the center-to-center measurement controls the drilling. For replacement doors or made-to-order fronts, measure the fixing holes first and confirm whether the project needs standard centers or custom center review.

New custom cabinetry

Choose the visual pull length first, then confirm the center-to-center size, projection and mounting position against the elevation.

  • Mark the vertical pull line before drilling.
  • Check door rails, stiles, drawer widths and panel construction.
  • Keep one main pull length across repeated closet doors where possible.
  • Use shorter hardware on drawers, closet islands and secondary storage.

Replacement fronts or existing holes
