Finish Sign-Off Knob — Project Approval Sample
Order a physical finish knob to approve colour, tone, material and surface character before your hardware specification is confirmed. For live projects, this sample can be linked to a Project Enquiry or Hardware Schedule so the approved finish is recorded before ordering.
Available in Heritage finishes and Atelier materials.
Review Materials & Finishes for sign-off
Finish Approval Process
Where a Hardware Schedule is used, finish approval follows a defined sequence before procurement begins.
Physical Sign-Off
Review the sign-off sample against cabinetry, materials, and lighting, then confirm the selected finish in writing before procurement begins.
Digital Finish Approval
For selected schedule-led projects requiring faster written sign-off, labelled finish images can be reviewed and approved in writing against the project reference.
Once approved
The approved finish becomes the project reference for procurement, reorders, replacements, and schedule continuity across the project.
Project Finish Record
Used for digital review, client approval, specification, and future reference.
Made in England. Solid metal. Hand-finished. Made to order.

Project enquiry
For defined items, schedule review, changes, repeat orders, or bespoke requirements.
Working on a live cabinetry project?
Start with a Hardware Schedule before procurement begins.
One shared specification your client, joiner, and procurement team work to.
Activation credited against hardware orders. Additional scope agreed in advance where required.
Prevents finish mismatch, ordering errors, and rework across the project lifecycle.
- Finish confirmed in writing before procurement begins
— no item ordered until finish is approved - One Pack ID, one shared reference
— client, joiner, and procurement always on the same version - Every reorder and replacement traces back to the same Pack — always against the approved version.
Heritage Finishes
Heritage Finishes brings together Capramont & Co’s collection of solid brass cabinetry finishes, hand-finished in England and informed by four decades of high-precision engineering, where consistency, control, and material behaviour are taken seriously from the outset.
The collection comprises of eight finishes: seven brass and bronze expressions; Aged Brass, Fine English Antique Brass, Dark Aged Brass, Medium Bronze, Dark Bronze, Black, and Satin Brass. Together with Satin Stainless Steel for schemes requiring a cooler, more stable metal presence.
The seven brass and bronze finishes are all live finishes. Produced on a solid brass base, they patinate naturally in use, deepening, settling, and acquiring character over time. This is the material behaving as it should. Brass hardware that improves with age is a specification decision, and one worth discussing with clients before the finish is finalised.
The tonal range moves from the warmest and most luminous which is Aged Brass and Fine English Antique Brass through to the progressively deeper restraint of Dark Aged Brass, Medium Bronze, and Dark Bronze, to the sharper architectural contrast of Black and the cleaner finish of Satin Brass.
Heritage is the appropriate collection where the scheme calls for genuine brass character: Georgian, Neoclassical, and other heritage-classic interiors; Art Deco and Hollywood Regency schemes where patinated metal reads as jewellery; transitional and contemporary-classic projects where warmth is needed without period pastiche; and Bauhaus or Mid-Century influenced spaces where darker bronze tones carry material weight without decoration.
It works across classic shaker, in-frame, panelled, fluted, slab, and veneered cabinetry, and is suited to kitchens, pantries, dressing rooms, wardrobes, bathrooms, home bars, and living or media rooms, as well as high-end residential, boutique hotel, luxury apartment, members’ club, and luxury retail projects.
Heritage is also designed for full-project schedules, with every piece drawn from the same solid brass base and finish family.
Atelier Materials
Atelier Materials is derived from Capramont & Co’s high precision engineering expertise, developed over four decades across marine, aerospace and motor racing sectors, where consistency, durability and material performance are treated as requirements, not aspirations.
Where Heritage is centred on solid brass and patinated finishes, Atelier is specified where the requirement extends beyond appearance to include greater environmental resistance, more controlled material performance, or a higher-performing base material.
Marine
Atelier includes materials used in marine deck hardware and offshore equipment operating in saltwater environments, selected here where corrosion resistance, environmental stability, and long term reliability are important in kitchens, utility areas, coastal properties, and other higher demand settings.
Naval Brass
A controlled brass alloy offering greater corrosion resistance and environmental stability than standard brass hardware.
Use where a warm brass tone is required, but the setting calls for a more durable material response in kitchens, utility areas, coastal properties, or higher-use environments.
Nickel-Coated Naval Brass
A refined nickel finish applied to a naval brass substrate, offering a more stable and corrosion-resistant base than conventional nickel-plated brass hardware.
Use where a nickel appearance is required and long-term finish integrity is the priority.
Marine-Grade Stainless Steel (316L)
A clean, neutral metal engineered for prolonged exposure to moisture, salt air, and atmospheric change.
Use in coastal properties, high-humidity kitchens, or any environment where long-term durability is critical.
Aerospace
Materials used within the Atelier range in aerospace structures and high-performance components which are selected for strength-to-weight efficiency, dimensional stability, and precision under demanding conditions.
Powder Coated Aluminium — Black / White
A precision machined aluminium alloy finished through a factory controlled powder coating process, producing a clean, uniform surface and a controlled architectural finish.
Use where a black or white finish is required to remain crisp, stable and visually consistent over time.
Motor Racing
Materials used within the Atelier range in motor racing engine and chassis components , selected for strength, low weight, dimensional stability, and resistance to surface wear under sustained use.
Titanium
A high-performance metal valued for its combination of strength, low weight, and long-term material stability, offering a more refined and controlled alternative to conventional stainless finishes.
Use where a cool contemporary finish is required and long-term appearance consistency is a priority.
Carbon-Coated Stainless Steel — Black / Silver
A stainless steel finish enhanced by a carbon-based surface treatment, delivering either a deep black or refined silver appearance with high resistance to wear and marking in normal use.
Use where a consistent, durable metal finish is required across high-use cabinetry.
