Cabinet Hardware Specification System · Project Application

Luxury Kitchen Cabinet Hardware for Bespoke Kitchens & Joinery

For bespoke kitchens and fitted joinery in the UK, specify cabinet and appliance hardware as one coordinated package: product family, scale, fixing centres, projection, finish or material, quantities and approvals should be resolved before drilling and made-to-order production.

Made to Order in England · Custom Sizes — No Minimum Order · Finish Approved Before Production · Project Drawing & Hardware Schedule Support

01 · Complete Kitchen

Specify the room as one hardware system, not cabinet by cabinet.

A bespoke kitchen can combine small drawers, full-height larders, islands, pantry joinery and integrated appliance fronts. The hardware family can remain coherent while scale, fixing centres and functional role change across the room.

Kitchen areaTypical hardware routeControl before release
Cabinet doorsKnobs, T-bars or pull handlesDoor style, rail/stile position, grip, projection and fixing position.
Drawer frontsPull handles, cup pulls, knobs or T-barsFront width, centre-to-centre size, repeat datum and visual balance.
IslandCoordinated pulls, knobs or feature hardwareRepeated centres, walkways, finish visibility and hand clearance.
Tall units & lardersLonger cabinet pullsScale, leverage, vertical datum, projection, centres and door construction.
Integrated appliance panelsExplicit appliance-pull or project-reviewed long-pull routePanel build-up, rear fixing access, thread route, clearances, projection and grip.

02 · Product & Design Specification

Choose the design language, then scale it to the cabinetry.

The strongest specifications separate design family from size. First establish the hardware character; then choose the form and scale required by each front, drawer, tall door or appliance panel.

01 · Form

Handles, knobs, T-bars, cups and C pulls

Choose the functional form by cabinet role instead of forcing one hardware type across every front.

02 · Scale

Match visual weight to the front

Small drawers, standard doors, tall larders and appliance panels need different proportions even when the finish family stays consistent.

Size & Placement
03 · Cabinet construction

Let the joinery condition change the decision

Shaker, inset/in-frame and flat-front cabinetry create different placement, clearance and visual-datum requirements.

04 · Coordination

Build one hierarchy across the room

Keep product family, finish and detailing coherent while adapting dimensions and hardware type to each cabinet role.

03 · Dimensional & Fit Engineering

Resolve drilling, projection and fixing before the joinery is committed.

For two-point hardware, centre-to-centre is the drilling dimension. Overall length, projection, usable grip, front thickness and fixing conditions are separate decisions.

Fixing centres

Confirm the exact drilling dimension from the selected product data before drilling.

Centres / Replacement Matrix

Custom centres

Eligible made-to-order designs can be reviewed where the joinery datum or existing drilling requires a non-standard centre.

Custom Centres

Projection & grip

Check hand clearance, adjacent doors, returns, fillers and conflicts before release.

Projection & Fixings

Installation boundary

Confirm front thickness, rear access and the final fixing condition; do not infer screw length from thread size alone.

Installation & Fitting

04 · Integrated Appliance Engineering

Treat appliance panels and tall doors as an engineering condition, not merely a larger handle.

Integrated refrigerator/freezer panels and tall cabinetry introduce greater leverage, panel build-up, rear fixing access and clearance questions. Explicit Appliance Pull variants use M6; ordinary Cabinet Pull variants use M5. Final screw length remains project-specific.

01

Panel condition

Record actual panel/front thickness at the fixing point, rear access and any restricted appliance-bank condition.

02

Pull geometry

Confirm centres, overall scale, vertical position, projection and usable grip against the actual elevation.

03

Drill release

Where panel build-up, access, custom centres or clearances remain uncertain, send drawings before drilling.

05 · Materials, Finishes & Project Application

Choose Heritage for finish character; choose Performance Metals when material performance forms part of the brief.

Finish selection should be checked against cabinetry, timber, stone, appliance metal, room light, handling and maintenance. Screen colour is not the approval standard for a made-to-order finish.

Heritage Finishes

Aged Brass, Fine English Antique Brass, Dark Aged Brass, Medium Bronze, Dark Bronze, Black and Satin Brass are living brass finishes; Satin Stainless Steel provides a cooler, more visually stable route.

Heritage Finish Palette

Performance Metals

Marine-grade 316L stainless steel, naval brass, nickel-coated naval brass, aerospace-grade aluminium, Grade 5 titanium and carbon-coated stainless routes support briefs where environment, wear, low mass or material performance matters.

Representative hardware routes for a complete bespoke kitchen.

Use the live PDP as the source of truth for current variants, then use the product specification sheet for project files and drawing coordination.

07 · Project Control

Keep the approved kitchen hardware in one controlled record.

A Hardware Schedule is useful when several products, sizes, centres, finishes, rooms, appliance fronts or approving parties need to be coordinated. Open decisions can remain open rather than being guessed.

Schedule fieldWhat it controlsWhy it matters
Room / areaMain kitchen, island, pantry, utility or related joinery.Keeps selections and quantities tied to the correct location.
Drawing referenceElevation, cabinet or joinery reference.Connects the hardware decision to design information.
Product & sizeExact Capramont product and approved dimension.Prevents visual references becoming the final specification.
Fixing centresDrilling dimension for two-point hardware.Controls drilling and later identification.
Finish / materialApproved Heritage finish or Performance Metals route.Connects physical approval to the order.
Quantity & approvalRequired number plus approved/open/revised status.Reduces counting errors and conflicting revisions.

09 · Direct Answers

Luxury kitchen cabinet hardware questions.

Does Capramont manufacture cabinet hardware for bespoke kitchens?

Yes. Capramont & Co manufactures made-to-order cabinet hardware in England for bespoke kitchens and fitted joinery, including cabinet handles, knobs, T-bars, cup pulls, C pulls and longer pull formats.

Can cabinet and appliance hardware be coordinated?

Yes. Standard cabinet hardware and longer pull routes can be considered together so product family, finish, scale and placement remain coordinated. Integrated appliance panels should be reviewed against the actual panel, fixing and clearance condition.

Can Capramont make custom fixing centres?

Eligible made-to-order products can be reviewed for custom centres where standard centre-to-centre dimensions do not suit bespoke joinery, existing drilling or the required elevation.

Can Capramont review kitchen drawings?

Yes. Use Project & Drawing Review for cabinetry elevations, appliance fronts, door counts, centre requirements, existing holes, custom dimensions and finish questions before production release.

Can the finish be approved before production?

Yes. A physical finish sign-off sample can be reviewed beside cabinetry, timber, stone, appliances and project lighting before the main made-to-order quantity is released.

When should a kitchen use a Hardware Schedule?

Use a Hardware Schedule when several products, sizes, centres, finishes, quantities, rooms or approving parties need to be controlled in one project record.

Next Step

Start with the cabinetry, then lock the hardware specification.

Choose the product family, confirm scale and centres, flag appliance and tall-panel conditions, approve the finish physically and record the final selections before made-to-order production.
