The no-redrill route starts with the fixing holes already in the cabinet front. Overall length affects appearance and coverage, but centre-to-centre size determines whether the new handle can physically fit without drilling new holes.
Remove one existing handle and measure from the centre of one fixing hole to the centre of the other. Do not measure the visible length of the old handle and assume it will match.
Rule: if the new handle matches the existing centre-to-centre measurement, it can usually be fitted using the existing holes. If it does not match, use the custom-centre or project review route.
