Match the front
Small doors can take knobs, T-bars or short pulls. Wide drawers, tall units and appliance fronts usually need longer hardware.
For most fitted cabinetry, cabinet handle size should be chosen by drawer width, door height, fixing position, visual weight and how often the cabinet is used. Capramont & Co helps specifiers choose British-made cabinet handles, knobs, cup pulls and C pulls through samples, product tear sheets, finish sign-off, custom centres and project/drawing review.
Dimensional & Fit Engineering · Size & Placement
Choose hardware from the cabinet front outward: drawer width, door height, centre-to-centre size, overall length, projection, fixing position, visual scale and intended use all affect whether the hardware works once fitted.
Riyadh and Jeddah
For Riyadh and Jeddah projects, keep handle size and placement consistent across large kitchens, dressing rooms, appliance fronts and fitted joinery. Check centres, overall length, projection and project records.

01 · Start Here
Cabinet handle size is a specification decision: drawer width, door height, centre-to-centre size, overall length, projection, fixing position, finish and usage all affect whether the hardware feels right once fitted.
Small doors can take knobs, T-bars or short pulls. Wide drawers, tall units and appliance fronts usually need longer hardware.
Centre-to-centre size controls drilling and replacement. Overall length controls visual proportion.
Repeated doors and drawers need consistent centre lines, especially on long kitchen runs or whole-home joinery.
Use product pages, specification sheets, samples and project review before made-to-order production or drilling.
02 · Sizing Table
Use this as the first specification layer. Final drilling should always be checked against the selected product page and specification sheet.
| Cabinet area | Hardware / size route | What to check | Capramont route |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small cabinet doors | Knob, T-bar, short pull or C pull | Finger access, stile width, swing direction, single-point alignment and visual weight. | Brunswick T-Bar · Burlington Knob · Westbourne C Pull |
| Standard drawers | Pull handle, cup pull or knob pair | Drawer-front width, placement line, grip and repeated drilling. | Beaufort · Westbourne · Eccleston Cup |
| Wide drawers | Medium or long pull | Visual proportion, balanced grip and centre consistency across the bank. | Beaufort / Westbourne 220–364 mm centres |
| Tall cabinet / pantry doors | Longer vertical pull | Door height, hand position, fixing strength and repeated vertical alignment. | Farringdon · Burlington · Brunswick · Manresa · Harrington |
| Wardrobes / dressing rooms | Long pulls or repeated handle family | Vertical rhythm, repeated elevations and finish consistency. | Brunswick · Manresa · Harrington |
| Appliance / refrigerator panels | Long pull / appliance-pull route | Panel weight, fixing, projection, door thickness and user grip. | Farringdon 604 mm · Egerton P1 · Egerton P2 |
03 · Placement Rules
Fix placement before drilling; check cabinet construction and hardware type.
| Hardware type | Placement issue / principle | Main check | Best next step |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cabinet handles | Keep centre lines consistent across similar fronts. | Misaligned drilling across repeated doors or drawers. | Use Hardware Finder |
| Knobs | Use one clear fixing point and repeat the same position. | Position feels too high, low or visually weak after fitting. | Order a sample |
| T-bars | Treat as a single-point pull with stronger visual direction than a knob. | Rotation or inconsistent orientation. | Review T-Bar PDP |
| C pulls | Use for discreet small-front, finger-pull or edge-led applications. | Edge condition, projection and fixing route. | Review C pull |
| Cup pulls | Usually drawer-led; allow finger clearance and visual breathing space. | Cup looks cramped or fouls the rail. | Review cup pulls |
| Appliance pulls | Use longer pulls and confirm panel/fixing requirements before drilling. | Under-specified hardware on a heavy or tall front. | Hardware Schedule |
04 · Technical Basics
Fixing spacing controls drilling; overall length controls proportion; projection controls stand-off and grip clearance.
The distance between fixing holes. This is critical for drilling, replacement and custom-centre work.
The full end-to-end size of the handle. This affects visual proportion, grip and how the hardware reads on the cabinet face.
The distance the hardware stands proud from the cabinet. This affects finger clearance, appliance fronts, corners and tight joinery runs.
