Premium English hardware with project certainty
Our background spans four decades of precision engineering across motor racing, aerospace and marine. Applied to cabinet hardware, it brings tighter control over fit, finish and consistency across every project.
Product details
Maddox is Mid-Century and Scandi in character, defined by a waisted hourglass knob with a flat circular face drawn into a gentle central pinch. Softened edges keep the profile calm and tactile on slab fronts, slim-frame shaker cabinetry, and walnut, oak, or painted veneer. It suits kitchens, wardrobes, dressing rooms, and media joinery where a minimal, design-led detail is preferred.
Made in England, the waist naturally guides the fingers into place for an instinctive pinch grip that feels secure in daily use. The hourglass form keeps contact points comfortable while holding crisp definition at the edges, even on high-use doors and drawers. Scaled across a run, it reads as a quiet, repeatable punctuation that brings discipline to long elevations without adding visual noise.
— Made in England
— Manufacturing heritage in motor racing, marine, and aerospace — the same precision applied to every piece
— Consistent batch matching across a project, however long it runs
Bespoke & project customisation
Every piece is made in England, to order. For projects, overall length, centres, projection, fixings, finish, material, and thickness can all be tailored to suit your joinery — including matched sets across a scheme and bespoke requirements for unusual doors or drawers.
All bespoke dimensions and finishes are confirmed through your Hardware Schedule Pack — your Pack ID is issued on submission, keeping all bespoke work tracked within one project reference.
Heritage Finishes — Patinated Brass & Stainless Steel
Across the Heritage range, seven finishes are solid brass with patinated character; one Heritage finish specified in stainless steel.
Atelier Metals — Performance Materials
Atelier Metals is our specialist materials programme for projects that demand more than decorative finishes — chosen for corrosion resistance, strength-to-weight, and long-term durability.
Performance-grade materials drawn from motor racing, marine, and aerospace, refined for architectural hardware.

Heritage Finishes
Heritage Finishes brings together Capramont & Co’s collection of solid brass cabinetry finishes, hand-finished in England and informed by four decades of high-precision engineering, where consistency, control, and material behaviour are taken seriously from the outset.
The collection comprises of eight finishes: seven brass and bronze expressions; Aged Brass, Fine English Antique Brass, Dark Aged Brass, Medium Bronze, Dark Bronze, Black, and Satin Brass. Together with Satin Stainless Steel for schemes requiring a cooler, more stable metal presence.
The seven brass and bronze finishes are all live finishes. Produced on a solid brass base, they patinate naturally in use, deepening, settling, and acquiring character over time. This is the material behaving as it should. Brass hardware that improves with age is a specification decision, and one worth discussing with clients before the finish is finalised.
The tonal range moves from the warmest and most luminous which is Aged Brass and Fine English Antique Brass through to the progressively deeper restraint of Dark Aged Brass, Medium Bronze, and Dark Bronze, to the sharper architectural contrast of Black and the cleaner finish of Satin Brass.
Heritage is the appropriate collection where the scheme calls for genuine brass character: Georgian, Neoclassical, and other heritage-classic interiors; Art Deco and Hollywood Regency schemes where patinated metal reads as jewellery; transitional and contemporary-classic projects where warmth is needed without period pastiche; and Bauhaus or Mid-Century influenced spaces where darker bronze tones carry material weight without decoration.
It works across classic shaker, in-frame, panelled, fluted, slab, and veneered cabinetry, and is suited to kitchens, pantries, dressing rooms, wardrobes, bathrooms, home bars, and living or media rooms, as well as high-end residential, boutique hotel, luxury apartment, members’ club, and luxury retail projects.
Heritage is also designed for full-project schedules, with every piece drawn from the same solid brass base and finish family.
Atelier Materials
Atelier Materials are Capramont & Co’s premium engineering-led material range, specified when a project requires more than appearance alone.
Shaped by over four decades of precision engineering across motor racing, aerospace and marine manufacturing, Atelier brings a more technical standard into cabinet hardware. Materials are considered for durability, environmental resistance, stability and long-term performance, not simply colour or surface appearance.
Where Heritage Finishes focus on solid brass, warmth and patina, Atelier Materials are the premium route for more demanding applications such as high-use cabinetry, coastal or marine settings, hospitality interiors, specialist joinery and projects where stainless steel, naval brass, titanium or other advanced material options may be more suitable.
Atelier pricing is confirmed via Trade Login, Hardware Schedule or project enquiry.

- Engineering-led: informed by motor racing, aerospace and marine manufacturing
- Performance-led: for durability, resistance and long-term stability
- Material-led: selected around project setting, not appearance alone
- Project-reviewed: confirmed before order where suitability needs checking
- Made in England: manufactured in Capramont & Co’s own specialist facility
Marine
Atelier includes materials used in marine deck hardware and offshore equipment operating in saltwater environments, selected here where corrosion resistance, environmental stability, and long term reliability are important in kitchens, utility areas, coastal properties, and other higher demand settings.
Naval Brass
A controlled brass alloy offering greater corrosion resistance and environmental stability than standard brass hardware.
Use where a warm brass tone is required, but the setting calls for a more durable material response in kitchens, utility areas, coastal properties, or higher-use environments.
Nickel-Coated Naval Brass
A refined nickel finish applied to a naval brass substrate, offering a more stable and corrosion-resistant base than conventional nickel-plated brass hardware.
Use where a nickel appearance is required and long-term finish integrity is the priority.
Marine-Grade Stainless Steel (316L)
A clean, neutral metal engineered for prolonged exposure to moisture, salt air, and atmospheric change.
Use in coastal properties, high-humidity kitchens, or any environment where long-term durability is critical.
Aerospace
Materials used within the Atelier range in aerospace structures and high-performance components which are selected for strength-to-weight efficiency, dimensional stability, and precision under demanding conditions.
Powder Coated Aluminium — Black / White
A precision machined aluminium alloy finished through a factory controlled powder coating process, producing a clean, uniform surface and a controlled architectural finish.
Use where a black or white finish is required to remain crisp, stable and visually consistent over time.
Motor Racing
Materials used within the Atelier range in motor racing engine and chassis components , selected for strength, low weight, dimensional stability, and resistance to surface wear under sustained use.
Titanium
A high-performance metal valued for its combination of strength, low weight, and long-term material stability, offering a more refined and controlled alternative to conventional stainless finishes.
Use where a cool contemporary finish is required and long-term appearance consistency is a priority.
Carbon-Coated Stainless Steel — Black / Silver
A stainless steel finish enhanced by a carbon-based surface treatment, delivering either a deep black or refined silver appearance with high resistance to wear and marking in normal use.
Use where a consistent, durable metal finish is required across high-use cabinetry.
