Materials & Performance

Available on this Egerton product: Marine-Grade Stainless Steel 316L · Marine-Grade Naval Brass · Marine-Grade Nickel-Coated Naval Brass — Satin Nickel · Aerospace-Grade Powdercoated Aluminium — White

Marine

Marine-Grade Stainless Steel 316L

Engineering route: Marine-grade.

Construction: Solid Marine-Grade Stainless Steel 316L.

Why specify it: High corrosion resistance where prolonged moisture, salt-laden air, humidity and atmospheric change form part of the material brief.

Project route: Coastal and waterfront residences, bathrooms, spas, high-humidity interiors and selected yacht-interior cabinetry subject to project review.

Marine

Marine-Grade Naval Brass

Engineering route: Marine-grade.

Construction: Solid Marine-Grade Naval Brass.

Why specify it: A warm solid-metal route selected where improved corrosion resistance over standard decorative brass is part of the material brief.

Project route: Premium residential joinery, coastal interiors and selected yacht-interior applications where the alloy itself forms part of the specification.

Marine

Marine-Grade Nickel-Coated Naval Brass — Satin Nickel

Engineering route: Marine-grade.

Construction: Satin nickel over a solid Marine-Grade Naval Brass substrate.

Why specify it: A cooler architectural appearance combined with a corrosion-resistant underlying alloy for improved environmental stability.

Project route: Luxury residential and hospitality interiors plus selected coastal or yacht-interior applications where a nickel appearance is required.

Aerospace

Aerospace-Grade Powdercoated Aluminium — White

Engineering route: Aerospace-grade.

Construction: Precision-machined Aerospace-grade aluminium with a controlled architectural powdercoat.

Why specify it: Selected for low weight, dimensional stability, repeatable geometry and controlled colour, using material specified for aerospace-level engineering applications.

Project route: Contemporary residential and hospitality joinery, architectural interiors and weight-sensitive fitted furniture where low mass and surface uniformity matter.

Product-specific material suitability

Stainless 316L is the strongest route in this product for moisture, salt air, bathrooms, coastal residences and high-humidity interior conditions. Naval Brass provides a warm solid-metal option with improved corrosion resistance compared with standard brass. Satin Nickel uses a nickel-coated naval-brass substrate for a cooler architectural appearance with improved environmental stability. Powdercoated aluminium provides low weight, dimensional stability and controlled colour for architectural interiors. Final suitability depends on location, exposure, cleaning regime, fixing conditions and the approved project specification; review demanding hospitality, coastal and yacht-interior applications before production.

Choosing the Right Material

Moisture, salt air, coastal or high-humidity exposure
Review Marine-Grade Stainless Steel 316L first.
Warm or nickel-toned solid-metal route with improved environmental stability
Review Naval Brass or Nickel-Coated Naval Brass.
Aerospace-grade route — low weight, dimensional stability and controlled architectural colour
Review Powdercoated Aluminium.

Projects & Environments

These six project authority routes provide the project-context layer around this Performance Metals design. Material suitability remains application-specific: use the relevant route to review environment, service condition, geometry, cleaning, lifecycle and specification requirements before quotation and manufacture.

Luxury Residential Cabinet Hardware

For kitchens, dressing rooms, bars, vanities, wardrobes and whole-home fitted interiors where one coordinated hardware language must work across different cabinet scales.

Branded Residence Cabinet Hardware

Use this route for repeated unit types, amenity spaces, later phases and replacement continuity under one controlled cabinet-hardware specification.

Luxury Hotel & Resort Cabinet Hardware

Use the hotel authority route for guestrooms, suites, casegoods, wardrobes, minibars, vanities, bars, phased quantities and lifecycle replacement planning.

Coastal & Waterfront Cabinet Hardware

Marine-Grade Stainless Steel 316L is available on this design for project review. Use the coastal authority route where humidity, salt-laden air, ventilation, cleaning exposure and proximity to water influence material selection; only material routes actually offered on this product should be specified.

Yacht Interior & Refit Cabinet Hardware

Marine material routes are also available on this design. Use the yacht authority route where existing drilling, clearances, compact joinery, weight and marine-adjacent service conditions must be resolved before manufacture.

Wellness, Spa & Private Club Cabinet Hardware

316L stainless steel provides a corrosion-resistant route to review for humid or frequently cleaned zones. Use the wellness authority route where humidity, cleaning regime, touch frequency and service zone affect material and hardware-format selection.

Long-life specification & reorder continuity

Record product, size, fixing centres, material route, approved finish reference, quantity, room use and spare requirement before production so future replacements and phased project orders can return to the same controlled specification.

Product-specific applications

Kitchen cabinetry
Pantry, utility and boot-room cabinetry
Wardrobes and bedroom cabinetry
Dressing-room joinery
Media units and living-room joinery
Home bars and games-room cabinetry
Hotel guestrooms, suites, minibar, vanity and hospitality fitted joinery
Coastal residences, bathrooms and high-humidity interior cabinetry
Selected yacht-interior cabinetry and fitted furniture subject to material review

Material Approval & Project Review

Approve the physical material / finish reference before made-to-order production. For hospitality, coastal, yacht, humid or high-use projects, send the intended environment, cleaning regime, drawings, quantities, cabinet-front construction and fixing conditions for review so the material and dimensional specification are resolved together.
