Contemporary Classic cabinet hardware should feel calm, balanced and long-lasting rather than decorative for the sake of it. This collection brings together Capramont & Co handles, knobs, T-bars, cup pulls and C-pulls for modern-classic kitchens, wardrobes, utilities, dressing rooms, pantries, fitted furniture and whole-home joinery where the hardware needs quiet proportion and softened detail.

Use this collection to compare Contemporary Classic hardware families, handle centres, knob scale, T-bar use, cup pull positions, C-pull suitability, projection, grip, finish route and room-by-room consistency before shortlisting products. For live projects, send drawings, elevations, room quantities or centre requirements before ordering so the specification can be checked together.

Contemporary Classic specification checks

Beaufort The cleanest Contemporary Classic route. Use for longer cabinet elevations, wardrobes, utilities, flat-front joinery and modern-classic rooms where the hardware should feel precise without becoming minimalist.
Farringdon A bridge between period cabinetry and contemporary fitted furniture. The cup pull, knobs and handle options make it useful where drawers, doors and pantry fronts need one controlled hardware family.
Brunswick A softer modern-classic family with handle, knob and T-bar options. Use where the cabinetry needs warmth, curve and traditional familiarity without feeling heavily period.
Melbury A warm contemporary bridge for simpler kitchens, wardrobes and fitted furniture. Best when the hardware should feel easy, refined and quieter than a strong heritage or Deco route.

Before shortlisting products

Cabinet language This route suits painted kitchens, slim-frame cabinetry, wardrobes, pantries, utility rooms and modern-classic fitted furniture where the hardware needs to support the room rather than dominate it.
Hardware mix Use handles for drawers and tall doors, knobs for smaller positions, T-bars for compact grip points, cup pulls for traditional drawer detail and C-pulls where lower projection is useful.
Centres For replacement work, confirm existing hole centres before ordering. For new joinery, agree the centre schedule before cabinet doors, drawers and wardrobe fronts are drilled.
Finish route Aged brass, satin brass, bronze, dark bronze, black, satin stainless and selected Atelier metals can move the same profile from warm modern-classic cabinetry to a sharper whole-home specification.
Whole-home control For kitchens, utilities, wardrobes and fitted furniture in the same property, keep product family, centres, finish and quantity in one schedule before production.

When this style route is right

Choose Contemporary Classic hardware when the project needs modern cabinetry with enough softness to sit comfortably in a long-term interior. It works well for high-spec kitchens, wardrobes, dressing rooms, utilities, pantries, boot rooms and fitted furniture where the hardware should feel considered, calm and repeatable.

This route is less suitable when the brief calls for strong Art Deco geometry, heavy Victorian craft detail, strict Georgian formality or highly minimal architectural hardware. For those projects, compare the Art Deco & Linear Deco, Victorian & Arts and Crafts, Georgian, Regency & Neoclassical or Modern Architectural & Minimalist routes before final selection.

Project and finish support

Capramont & Co cabinet hardware is made in England for project-led interiors. Heritage finishes are suited to modern-classic cabinetry, painted joinery and fitted furniture, while selected Atelier Metals can be specified where the project needs specialist material choices, bathrooms, coastal homes, yachts or a more performance-led finish route.

For a clean specification, shortlist by collection first, then confirm product type, centres, overall length, projection, finish and quantity. If the project includes several rooms, a hardware schedule helps keep doors, drawers, wardrobes, pantry fronts and finish approvals aligned before production.
