Use this matrix after measuring the existing screw-hole centres on the cabinet, drawer, wardrobe or appliance front. For direct replacement, the new handle must match the existing centre-to-centre measurement, not simply the overall length.
Measurement first
Measure the screw holes, not the handle length
Centre-to-centre is the distance from the centre of one fixing hole to the centre of the other. Overall length is useful for visual scale, but replacement depends on the existing fixing holes.
Remove one existing handle
Measure from the actual fixing holes rather than estimating from the outside of the handle.
Measure centre to centre
Use millimetres and record the exact screw-hole centre distance.
Match exactly or request review
If the new pull is even slightly different, old holes may show or fixings may not align.
Common cabinet handle centre routes

Exact match
The existing hole centres match the new handle centres. This is the cleanest route for replacing cabinet handles without redrilling.
Near match
Do not force a near match. A few millimetres can expose old holes, misalign fixings or create fitting risk.
