Cabinet Hardware Installation & Fitting Guide | Capramont & Co

Cabinet hardware should be fitted only after centres, door thickness, projection, finish and fixing requirements have been checked against the product tear sheet. Capramont & Co supports British-made cabinet hardware installation with PDP specifications, tear sheets, samples, finish sign-off, custom-centre review and project/drawing review before made-to-order production.

Fitting control

Do not drill from visual judgement alone.

For two-point hardware, confirm the centre-to-centre size from the selected PDP or product tear sheet before drilling. Overall length and centre size are not the same measurement, and small errors become expensive once fronts have been drilled.

Before drilling cabinet fronts

A cabinet handle is ready to fit only when the centres, fixings, finish, door thickness, projection and project record have been checked.

Product-specific projection, screw/thread and door-thickness details should be checked on the relevant PDP or tear sheet before drilling or releasing made-to-order hardware.

Choosing by overall length only Overall length and fixing centres are different measurements.

What should be checked before drilling cabinet handle holes?

Do all cabinet handles use the same fixing method?

No. Pull handles, C pulls and cup pulls normally require two fixing points, while knobs and T-bars are usually single-point fittings. Always check the relevant PDP or product tear sheet before drilling.
